MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR  
(i) National Eligibility Test (NET) shall be compulsory for appointment at the entry level of Assistant Professor, subject to the exemptions to the degree of Ph.D. in respect of those persons obtaining the award through a process of registration, course-work and external evaluation, as have been laid down by the UGC through its regulations, and so adopted by the State Government vide letter No.7/66-2003 C IV(3) dated 17.7.2009. (Appendix-II).

(ii) The minimum requirements of a good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s level. 

(iii) A minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) will be required at the Master’s level for those recruited as teachers at any level from industries and research institutions and at the entry level of Assistant Professors, Assistant Librarians, Assistant Directors of Physical Education and Sports.

(iv) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions.  The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures.

(v) A relaxation of 5% may be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991.

(vi) Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed by a recognized University shall also be considered eligible.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Selection for the post of `Specialist Officers (except Chartered Accountants and CISO)’ will be made on the basis of performance in Common Written Examination (CWE) conducted by IBPS in written examination in March 2012 and Interview, taken together.
INTERVIEW: Depending upon the number of vacancies, the Bank reserves the right to 
call only those candidates (except for the post of Chartered Accountants and CISO) who 
have scored sufficiently high valid IBPS score in the stipulated Common Written 
Examination and who Fullfil the Bank’s eligibility criteria, for Interview.
For the post of Chartered Accountants, depending upon the number of vacancies, only a 
certain number of candidates amongst those who qualify by ranking sufficiently high in merit on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in their required qualification i.e. CA, will 
be called for interview.
The total marks for Interview will be 100. Candidates have to obtain minimum 40% marks (35% for SC/ST/ OBC) to qualify in the Interview.
The final merit list for selection of Specialist Officers will be prepared by clubbing the marks of written test as per IBPS score card & interview. The weightage for written test score and interview marks will be 85% & 15% respectively.
The selection of Chartered Accountants, called for interview by the Bank, will be based on merit (prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the applicants in Interview).
INTERVIEW CENTRES:
The Interview will be held at the designated centres and the addresses of the venues will be advised in the call letters. The addresses of the venues will also be displayed on the Bank’s website before the dates of commencement of Interviews.
Note: (i) Request for change of Centre of Interview shall NOT be entertained.
(ii) Bank reserves the right to cancel any of the centres and/or add some other centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. Bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate any of the centres other than the one he/she has opted for.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
(a) Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other norms mentioned in this advertisement.  Decision of the Bank in all matters regarding eligibility of the candidates, the stages at which scrutiny of such eligibility is to be undertaken, the documents to be produced for the purpose of the conduct of interview, selection and any other matter relating to recruitment will be final and binding on the candidate. HOW TO APPLY

SELECTION PROCEDURE
All eligible candidates should apply online within the last date of registering the applications. Eligible candidates will be considered for selection process as under:
Post Code 01 to 07 and 10 to 14 Group Discussion and/ or an Interview
Post Code 08 and 09 Brief Written test on the day of the interview followed by a Group Discussion and/or an Interview
Post Code 15 Written Test and Interview

The selection for this post will be made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in written test and interview.

The written test may be conducted Online/ Offline. The written examination shall consist of an Objective Test for 200 marks and will be of 2 hours duration. The objective test will consist of the following sections:

If the total of the penalty for a test is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer.
Mere eligibility/pass in the written test shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for Personal Interview. Bank will decide the minimum cut off marks for each section of the objective test as well as the Total weightage/marks. Depending on the number of vacancies such of those candidates who rank sufficiently high in the order of merit in the written test as per the cut off marks decided by the Bank will only be called for interview.
Written Examination Centres
The written examination will be held at the following centres and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters: Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata.
