Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Navaratna Central Public Sector undertaking, is a premier Aeronautical Industry of South East Asia, with 20 Production/Overhaul/Service Divisions and 10 co-located R&D Centers spread across the Country. HAL’s spectrum of expertise encompasses design, development, manufacture, repair, overhaul and upgrade of Aircraft, Helicopters, Aero-engines, Industrial & Marine Gas Turbines, Accessories, Avionics & Systems and Structural Components for Satellite & Launch Vehicles.
HAL Helicopter MRO Division- Helicopter Complex, Bangalore is currently looking for candidates for appointment as Technicians (XSM) for outstation Bases in the following Disciplines/Area.
HAL, over the last six decades, has grown progressively into an integrated Aerospace Organization with the indigenous design & development of Advanced Light Helicopter (ALHDhruv), Intermediate Jet Trainer (IJT) & Light Combat Aircraft (LCA-Tejas). The ongoing major projects & programmes include ALH (both in military & civil roles), IJT, LCA, Pilotless Target Aircraft (PTA), Su-30 MKI & Hawk – Advanced Jet Trainer. Aligning with the emerging future requirements, HAL has conceptualized the indigenous development of Light Combat Helicopter (LCH), naval & trainer versions of LCA, Multi Role Transport Aircraft (MTA) etc.,

Discipline / Trade: Ex-Servicemen Technician on Contract basis (for out station Bases) in trades of Airframe-08, Engine-03 & Electrical-03 .
No of Posts & Reservation : Total - 14
Qualification Requirements : Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Defence Forces in any one of the trades
Age Limit: 28 years. Relaxable to Ex-Servicemen Technicians,& candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC & PWD candidates as per Rules.
Age limit and experience are considered as on 31-07-2012. Reservation / concessions for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and XSM categories would be made as per Government Directives.
JOB REQUIREMENT / DESCRIPTION:
1. Should have at least 15 years experience in defence forces, having worked on servicing of Helicopters preferably in ALH. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in 1st & 2nd line servicing of ALH Helicopters.
2. Candidates from Engine Trade should have worked on TM 333-2B2 / Artouste / Adour /Orpheus Engines etc.,
3. Should be able to work independently for defect rectification / servicing of Helicopters.
4. Should be willing to work in Customer bases like Bareilly/Sarsawa/Gorakhpur (UP), Missamari (Assam), Leh / Manasbal (J&K), Jallandhar (Punjab), Sevok Road etc.,
APPLICATION FEE
The application fee of Rs. 100 which is non-refundable, is to be sent in the form of Demand Draft drawn on any Nationalized Bank (preferably State Bank of India) in favour of ‘HAL - Helicopter MRO Division’, payable at Bangalore. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/PWD category are exempted from payment of Application Fee.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Eligible candidates short-listed based on the initial screening will be called for Written Test at Bangalore or at the place which will be decided by management. Candidates qualified in the written test will be subjected for a Personal Interview. The date, Time and Venue of the Written Test / Interview will be intimated to the short-listed candidates by E-mail / HAL Website only. Candidates are required to bring the certificates / documents (Original and attested Photocopies) in proof of Age, Qualification, Experience, Training, Caste etc at the time of Interview.

SALARY
Ex-Servicemen technicians engaged on contract basis will be paid consolidated remuneration based on their experience and place of posting. After absorption they are eligible for regular pay as given to respective scales. Besides that, they are entitled for DA, HRA/Company accommodation, Canteen Allowance, Conveyance allowance, Interest Subsidy on Loans etc.,
ABSORPTION
The Ex-Servicemen Technicians selected will be engaged on contract basis for a period of two years. During the period of contract, their performance will be evaluated periodically. On successful Completion of contract period, they will be considered for absorption subject to suitability and availability of vacancy. The selected Ex-Servicemen Technicians will be posted to various Customer Bases like Leh / Manasbal (J&K), Bareilly /Sarsawa (UP), Missamari (Assam), Jallandhar / Pahankot (Punjab), Sevok Road, etc., based on the requirement.
HEALTH
Applicants should be of sound health and should meet the medical standards prescribed by the Company. Appointment of selected candidates will be subject to receipt of satisfactory medical report from the Company’s Doctor as per the Medical Standards of the Company.
